Birmingham’s former Central Fire Station and West Midlands Fire Service Headquarters is due to be reborn as a £50 million gateway project. Situated in the city centre, the Grade II listed building is to be transformed into a vibrant location comprising new student accommodation, in addition to retail, leisure and business space. Its planned completion is 2013.
