Birmingham office

K4 Architects Ltd was established in 2010. We moved into 122 Fazeley Street in February 2011 with 4 people, but quickly doubled in size. In 2014 we began turning the former garage adjoining our office into a studio and grew our practice into the new space with 16 staff by 2017.

We have slowly been renovating the former Wharfinger’s House (formerly owned by British Waterways) into a series of meeting rooms which we use for our work, or hire out to artists, chefs and other businesses for events, exhibitions and meetings. (Why not check out our Wharfinger’s House page.)

What has struck us in our process of evolving the business and the premises we occupy is just how flexible these cellular Victorian rooms are, due to their perfectly proportioned size and incredible sense of place.

We've been part of some exciting projects

The practice’s architectural work in the West Midlands and Birmingham has gained recognition for its innovation and creativity with a commercial edge.

Being in the heart of Digbeth, still the workshop and creative centre of Birmingham, shapes our thinking and keeps us on the creative edge of architecture.
We are open 9am until 6pm Monday to Friday, when the pandemic is over.
