Bromyard office
Our Bromyard office is a former bakery in the centre of Bromyard, a historic market town in Herefordshire, an hour away from Birmingham.
We had already been working in the Shropshire county on our award-winning Beech Gardens scheme and more recently the Marston Hub, both in Ludlow. We love working in the beautiful rural settings, enjoy the challenge of heritage and conservation in this context and decided we want to keep working with the communities here.
Director Bob Ghosh purchased the derelict bakery and residential house three years ago and has undertaken the extensive renovation of The Bakehouse to create a home and office. Bob’s son Finn lives in Hereford making the reason to live there personal and professional.

We've been part of some exciting projects
The challenge with this property was spectacular.
A 17th century former pub, converted into a home by the Georgians, then a shop by the Victorians, and an industrial bakery added in the 1950’s. Now lovingly restored, the layers revealed, and transformed into 21st Century studio and home.
The result is a live/work property, enabling the company to expand the work of K4 Architects in the sub-region of The Marches. The conversion of the former Bakehouse shop into the second studio was possible with funding from an EU Business Growth Programme (BGP2).
Our second office will officially open later in the year when we are through the Covid-19 Pandemic.
