K4 Architects was commissioned initially to look at possible new sites for this mosque which had outgrown its space in Balsall Heath. After an engaged analysis of the various site options, the mosque users voted to stay where they were but to expend their existing site. The project includes a new mosque, community & sports facilities and learning spaces.

The client for this project has a vision for an inclusive community facility together with a strong design statement to create a striking example of contemporary architecture with reference to the abstract patterning in Eastern design.
